The conference focuses on various aspects of mathematical modelling and usage of numerical methods in modern problems of science and engineering. It aims, in particular, to foster cooperation among various specialists in this field.
Working language of the Conference is English.
The scientific program includes invited plenary talks (40 min)
and contributed talks (20 min). The program of the conference is attached.
Program and Organizing Committee:
Selected papers of the conference will be published in the Vol.14 of “Mathematical Modelling and Analysis” (The Baltic Journal on Mathematical Applications, Numerical Analysis and Differential Equations), http://www.vgtu.lt/rc/mma/ and hopefully in the special issues of journals “Numerical Functional Analysis and Optimization”, “Computational Methods in Applied Mathematics”. All published papers will be peer-reviewed according to standard rules of the corresponding journals.
The
conference will take place at Kääriku Sport Center of the
University of Tartu http://www.kaariku.com/set_lang_id=2.
Kääriku is a little village between lakes and forests, about
50 km from Tartu. We recommend to have with you the sport and swimming
dresses (the social program includes sauna and sport events). According
to the program of the conference the official sporttime is on Thursday,
June 5 at 19:00-20:30. During this time the sportshall for basketball,
volleyball etc, outdoor courts for tennis are available for free. Somesport activities are possible also in other time.
The registration fee is 350 EUR and
it covers printed abstracts, all local expenses (accommodation in two-bed rooms
for three nights, 9 meals at Kääriku during the conference, social events), the
conference dinner and coffee breaks. Participants who wish accommodation in
single rooms should pay the registration fee 500 EUR. The fee for PhD students
is 200 EUR (accommodation in holiday homes in 4-6 bed rooms). The fee for
accompanying person is 150 EUR (covers the accommodation in two-bed room, 9
meals at Kääriku, the conference dinner and social events).

possible to pay the registration fee at the conference registration desk in
cash also.
Transport and additional
accommodation
If
you need our help for booking hotel in Tartu before or after the
conference, please let us know when and how you will arrive to Tartu or
leave Tartu.
The trip from Tallinn to Tartu by bus takes 2.5 hours and costs
approximately 150 EEK (10 euros). Buses leave from Tallinn Central Bus
Station approximately every 30 minutes (during 6.00-21.00, see
http://www.bussireisid.ee/). For participants of the conference the
special buses are organized: from Tartu to Kääriku on
Wednesday, June 4 at 11:30 starting from the building of the Faculty of
Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Tartu, J. Liivi 2, and
from Kääriku to Tartu on Saturday, June 7 at 14:15.
